Vietnam President gets Ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Vietnam’s President To Lam was accorded a ceremonial welcome today at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Lam is in New Delhi as part of his three-day first State Visit to India, marking a significant moment in bilateral ties.

Right now at Hyderabad House, Prime Minister Modi is holding wide-ranging discussions with the visiting dignitary across the spectrum of bilateral relations, as well as on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

President Droupadi Murmu will also have a meeting with her Vietnamese counterpart. Other Indian dignitaries are also expected to call on President To Lam. President To Lam is also expected to visit Mumbai on Thursday.

His visit comes as India and Vietnam celebrate a decade of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The engagements are expected to provide fresh momentum to the robust bilateral relations and open new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
