PBKS Suffers First Loss in IPL 2026; MI to face SRH today

In the Indian Premier League, Punjab Kings suffered their first loss of this season as Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings by six wickets in a high-scoring contest in Chandigarh.

Star batsman Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became the leading run-getter in this IPL season with a cracking 43. The teenage batsman kept up his blazing form with his 16-ball knock that laid the foundation for Rajasthan’s chase of 223 runs as they reached home with four balls to spare.

Sooryavanshi’s opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal hit 51 runs before Donovan Ferreira smacked an unbeaten 52 to complete the win.

Earlier, Punjab batter Marcus Stoinis hammered an unbeaten 62 runs to guide the team to 222 runs for the loss of 4 wickets after being invited to bat first.

In today’s match Mumbai Indians will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in a crucial match. MI is positioned second last with only 2 wins, where as SRH having 5 wins placed 4th place in the table.
