Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Nabin today addressed a Mahila Sammelan held in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, in the august presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nabin described Kashi as the center of India’s timeless cultural consciousness and noted that the contribution of women is the foundation of nation-building.

BJP National President appreciated the efforts made under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to ensure safety, dignity, and leadership opportunities for women.

He highlighted schemes such as Ujjwala, construction of toilets, the Lakhpati Didi initiative, and the abolition of triple talaq as key pillars of women empowerment.

Nabin also offered prayers at the Baba Vishwanath Temple and, after the Mahila Sammelan, participated in the Ganga Aarti at Namo Ghat.

During the event, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP State President and Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary, District Panchayat Chairperson Poonam Maurya, and several other dignitaries were present on the stage.

Nabin stated that Kashi is not merely a city or a part of geography, but the living consciousness of an eternal and timeless culture that has guided India on the path of knowledge, strength and devotion for ages. Just as Maa Ganga has nurtured this land for centuries with her affection and pure waters, in the same way the mothers and sisters present there, along with all the mothers and sisters of the country, have kept families, society and the nation vibrant through their struggle, hard work and inner strength, while also leading the preservation and growth of its culture. The sacred land of Kashi is regarded as a witness to the great resolve of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, who, through her unwavering faith and administrative vision, protected and rebuilt this temple city.

He asserted that a large number of mothers and sisters had marked their presence there. He paid respects to the mother of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who gave birth to such a distinguished son. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji had not only cared for the honour of his own mother, but had also worked to provide crores of mothers and sisters across the country with a life of security, dignity and self-respect, while bringing transformation to their lives. Over the past more than a decade, it has been Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji who has led both the welfare schemes for mothers and sisters and the positive changes brought into their lives. Today women are not limited to uniting society, but are also providing decisive leadership, in which Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has made a major contribution.
