Young Wushu sensation Jiya Manhas  from Jammu and Kashmir, has clinched Gold Medal at the prestigious Moscow Wushu Stars 2026 held in Russia. Jiya’s stellar performance on the international stage has brought immense pride to Jammu & Kashmir and the entire nation.

Representing India with determination and skill, Jiya showcased exceptional technique and resilience, outclassing her competitors to secure the top podium finish.

Her victory highlights the growing sporting talent emerging from Jammu & Kashmir, especially in martial arts like Wushu.

The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council congratulated the young athlete, praising her dedication and hard work. In an official statement, the council termed her achievement as “a matter of immense pride” and an inspiration for aspiring sportspersons across the region. Jiya’s success adds to India’s rising dominance in international Wushu competitions and reinforces the importance of continued investment in sports infrastructure and training facilities in J&K.
