Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a crucial Indian Premier League 2026 clash in Bengaluru on Wednesday, with RCB aiming to continue their strong form and climb the points table.
RCB come into the match with an in-form batting unit, consistently posting totals above 200 this season. Rajat Patidar has led the charge with 195 runs at a strike rate above 200. The batting line-up featuring Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, Tim David and Devdutt Padikkal has performed consistently. RCB are currently third on the table with six points, just behind Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings, and will look to capitalise on home advantage.
LSG, meanwhile, have struggled for consistency and is placed seventh. Their bowling, led by Mohammed Shami, has been effective, but batting remains a concern.
Captain Rishabh Pant has scored 103 runs in four matches and is yet to hit peak form. LSG will need an improved batting effort to challenge a strong RCB side.
In yesterday’s match, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 32 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League 2026.
Batting first, CSK posted 192 for 5 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson gave a brisk start with 48 runs, while Ayush Mhatre added 38 to help the team reach 72 in the powerplay. Dewald Brevis contributed 41, with Shivam Dube and Jamie Overton finishing the innings steadily.
In reply, KKR struggled early. Finn Allen fell cheaply, while Sunil Narine scored 24. Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi tried to rebuild, but wickets kept falling. Spinner Noor Ahmad led the bowling effort, dismissing key batters including Rinku Singh and Cameron Green.
