BJP has announced its Agenda today, for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Election under the campaign titled “Bhoroshar Shopoth” (Pledge of Trust).
Under governance and security, the party has promised a crackdown on infiltration, a White Paper on 15 years of alleged TMC corruption, an end to the “syndicate” and “cut money” culture, and a law ensuring religious freedom.
In the economy and employment segment, BJP has pledged one crore new jobs and self-employment opportunities over five years, along with ₹3,000 monthly financial aid for unemployed youth and ₹3,000 monthly support for women. It also promised to ensure Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees and implement the 7th Pay Commission.
In agriculture and industry, the party has proposed support for rice, potato, and mango cultivation, registration of fishermen under PM Matsya Sampada Yojana, and plans to make Bengal a leading fish-exporting hub. It also pledged rejuvenation of tea gardens, strengthening Darjeeling Tea branding, and modernisation of the jute industry.
In social and health policies, BJP has proposed women-only police battalions, Durga Surokha Squads, and 33% reservation in state jobs. It also promised implementation of Ayushman Bharat, free HPV vaccination, and breast cancer screening.
On infrastructure, the party has promised AIIMS, IIT, and IIM in North Bengal, along with a Vande Mataram museum. In legal reforms, it has proposed a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) law and strict action against cattle smuggling. It also pledged inclusion of Kurmali and Rajbongshi languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
