Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that advancing agriculture while protecting the environment is equally important. He said, special emphasis must be laid on adopting natural farming and ensuring the judicious use of fertilizers.

He urged states to create Farmer IDs in mission mode, stating that this initiative will help farmers receive the benefits of government schemes in a direct and transparent manner.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma called upon farmers to adopt technology-based and modern agricultural practices instead of traditional farming.

He stressed the importance of water conservation, stating that optimal use of limited resources is essential to make agriculture more profitable. He also advised farmers to consult agricultural scientists for crop selection and farming methods to enhance their income.

The one-day Regional Agriculture Conference is being attended by Agriculture Ministers, senior officials, representatives of Farmer Producer Organizations, and progressive farmers from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Goa.

Detailed discussions are being held on modern agricultural technologies, innovations, and measures to increase farmers’ income.
