Terror Plot at Lucknow Railway Station Foiled, UP ATS arrested four accused

A conspiracy to sabotage railway signal boxes and infrastructure at Charbagh Railway Station, Lucknow has been successfully foiled by the UP Anti-Terrorist Squad (UP ATS).

Uttar Pradesh ATS arrested four accused linked to a Pakistan-based handler from Charbagh Railway Station (Northern Railway), who planned to sabotage railway signal boxes. Flammable substances and electronic devices were seized. Security has been heightened across all stations.

Four accused — operating under directions of a Pakistan-based handler via social media and encrypted apps — were arrested from the station premises. Flammable substances and electronic equipment were recovered from their possession.

Indian Railways commends the U.P ATS for their swift action and assures the public that passenger safety remains our highest priority. Security at all stations has been further strengthened.
