India–US textile trade in focus at New York roundtable

A roundtable on India–U.S. trade opportunities in the fashion and textile industry was organised at the Consulate General of India in New York in collaboration with ‘The Canvas Global’.

Speaking at the event, Consul General Binaya Pradhan highlighted the vast potential in textiles and fashion to further strengthen India’s trade ties with the United States.

The discussion focused on key themes such as sustainability, innovation and resilient supply chains, underlining India’s growing role as a trusted global partner in the fashion and textile sector.

Distinguished panelists Devin J Gilmartin, President of The Canvas, Aditya Natarajan from SETHU, Prof. Preeti Gopinath from Parsons School of Design, and Sachin Ahluwalia, Founder of Sachin & Babi discussed different aspects of fashion and textiles sector.
