To enhance passenger convenience, the Railways will operate a special reserved train between Jammu Tawi and Chhapra from April 6. It is notified as Train No. 05193/05194, will complete 15 trips in each direction, offering direct connectivity to passengers travelling to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
Train No. 05194 will depart from Jammu Tawi every Wednesday at 1:20 hrs, commencing April 8 and continuing till July 15.
It will arrive at Chhapra at 9:15 hrs the following day. Similarly, Train No. 05193 will run from Chhapra every Monday at 14:12 hrs, starting April 6 until July 13, reaching Jammu Tawi at 23:00 hrs on Tuesday.
The train will halt at key stations including Kathua, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Gorakhpur and Chhapra Kacheri, among others, on both routes.
The composition of the train includes Air-Conditioned (AC), Sleeper and General Class coaches to cater to different categories of passengers.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said the special service has been introduced keeping in view the heavy passenger rush and will provide direct and comfortable connectivity between the two regions.
