INS Trikand arrives at Maputo, Mozambique for operational deployment

Indian Naval Ship Trikand arrived at Maputo, Mozambique, as part of its operational deployment to the South West Indian Ocean Region. The Defence Ministry said that the visit aims to further strengthen maritime cooperation and bilateral relations between India and Mozambique.

It said that the ship will hand over Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief stores and undertake professional and social engagements, including community service and medical camps, as part of India’s commitment towards supporting regional partners in the Indian Ocean Region.

The port call by INS Trikand is aligned with India’s vision of MAHASAGAR – Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions.
