Today is the holy Ashokastami. For this, the Rukuna Rath Yatra of Mahaprabhu Srilingaraj is being held in Ekamra Kshetra Bhubaneswar. The old Bhubaneswar is in full swing on preparation.

Today, Mahaprabhu Sri Lingaraj will travel towards Rameswar Temple for five days on the Devdalan Rath or Rukuna Rath. Sri Lingaraj, Goddess Durga and Lord Dolagobinda will be seated in the chariot.

The specialty of the Rukuna Rath is that it is unlevered. The chariot goes to Rameswar Temple in the same way as it returns.

According to the tradition, the rear of the chariot is opened and on the Bahuda day, the horses and the decorations of the front of the chariot are brought and placed on the back of the chariot.

Yesterday, on the seventh day, after the Navratri Puja, the Pantari Sevayats brought the Marichikund water from the Muktaeswar Peetha to the Rathkhala. The Marichikund water was auctioned during the Netra festival. It is believed that the childless will get children if they bathe in Marichikund water.
