Records Tumble at Men’s T2O World Cup 2026

India scripted history yesterday by winning the Men’s T20 World Cup Cricket 2026 as a host nation. Earlier no host countries had won this feet. India for the first time in the ICC T20  World Cup retained the trophy as they had won it in 2024 played at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.

India now having the most number of T20 World Cup titles with three, the first one India got in 2007 under the captainship of M S Dhoni played at England. The second title India got in 2024 under the leadershipof Rohit Sharma in West Indies.

The score India got yesterday 255/6 was the highest score in a T20 World Cup Final. Sanju Samson’s Individual score he got yesterday against the NewZealand is the highest individual score by a batter in T20 World Cup Final.

India’s opener, Abhishek Sharma’s 18 ball half century is the fastest in a world cup final and in the whole tournament of 2026.

Jasprit Bumrah also equalled the most number of wickets (4) with Ajantha Mendis in a T20 World Cup Final.

India achieved anther record in the Final with 98 runs scored for the 1st wicket partnership by Sanju Samson and Abhiskek Sharma.

Yesterday India registered the biggest margin of win in terms of runs by 96 runs in a T20 World cUP Final
