Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected the proposed mega coaching terminal site at Vatva Coaching Terminal. A detailed review of the terminal’s alignment and proposed facilities was conducted.
The Railway Minister directed further expansion of pitlines and stabling lines. The proposal to quadruple the Ahmedabad-Vatva section was also discussed, facilitating the operation of more passenger trains to Ahmedabad.
This proposed mega coaching terminal is a key project under Western Railway, which will play a significant role in increasing train handling capacity, reducing congestion, and strengthening modern railway infrastructure in the region.
