PM Modi meets Brazilian President Lula in Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met at Hyderabad House in New Delhi today, seeking to boost cooperation in key sectors.

The two leaders are also expected to discuss global economic headwinds and strains on multilateral trade systems, prompting calls for stronger cooperation.

On Thursday, President Lula addressed the AI Impact Summit in Delhi, calling for a multilateral and inclusive global governance framework for artificial intelligence.

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar also called on President of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva today. Dr Jaishankar appreciated Mr Silva’s warm sentiments and guidance on advancing Strategic Partnership.

The Minister expressed confidence that meeting of Mr Silva with Prime Minister Narendra Modi later today will give a new momentum to the ties.
