President, VP & PM extend greetings on Mahashivratri

President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan and PM Narendra Modi extended their greetings on the occasion of Mahashivratri today, wishing citizens well-being, happiness, and prosperity. The leaders emphasized the spiritual significance of the festival in promoting devotion and national unity.

The President shared a message on X, stating, “On the sacred occasion of Mahashivratri, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all my fellow countrymen. My prayer is that the grace of Mahadev may forever remain upon us all, and that our nation may always advance on the path of progress.”

The Vice-President wrote, “Heartiest greetings to all on the sacred festival of Mahashivratri. From Kashi to Rameswaram, this holy festival stands as a living symbol of India’s eternal and unbroken spiritual tradition. May the blessings of Mahadev and Mata Parvati bring happiness, prosperity, and good health to all. Har Har Mahadev!”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on Mahashivratri, wishing well-being for all citizens. He prayed that Adidev Mahadev’s blessings continue to guide everyone and bring prosperity to the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X, “To all my family members across the country, countless best wishes on Mahashivratri. My prayer is that Adidev Mahadev always keeps His grace upon everyone. By His blessings, may all be blessed with well-being and may our Bharatvarsh sit enthroned at the peak of prosperity. Har Har Mahadev!”

Mahashivratri, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the most important festivals in Hinduism. Devotees observe fasting, night-long vigils, and offer prayers to seek spiritual growth, health, and prosperity.

The festival symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and emphasizes self-discipline, devotion, and meditation. Celebrated across India, it unites communities and families in worship, reflecting the rich spiritual and cultural heritage associated with Lord Shiva.
