Northern Command Army Commander, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, visited Basantgarh following the successful conclusion of Operation KIYA, during which two terrorists were neutralised.
During the visit, the Army Commander interacted with the troops involved in the operation and complimented them for their swift, precise and well-coordinated action, carried out in close synergy with all stakeholders.
He praised the soldiers for their high level of professionalism, dedication and operational readiness displayed during the operation.
Lt Gen Pratik Sharma lauded the troops’ steadfast resolve and commitment to safeguarding peace and security, reaffirming the Army’s determination to ensure a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.
He expressed confidence in the force’s continued ability to respond effectively to security challenges and maintain stability in the region.
