CISR-NISCPR Organizes Pre-Summit Event of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi

A Pre-Summit Event of the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 was organized today at the CISR-NISCPR campus in New Delhi. The topic of the International Symposium was on “Human-Centred AI and Sustainable Development: Holistic Pathways for Energy Security”

Dr. Geetha Vani Rayasam, Director, CISR-NISCPR presented the Welcome Address & Opening Remarks. She said that AI in energy will play a big role in future. She said Government of India is working on the guidelines for various research in applications of AI.

Addressing the inaugural session, the Chief Guest, Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, President, Institute Chair and Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur said, while traditional AI focuses on technical performance and automation, Human Centered AI prioritizes systems that amplify human intelligence, respect human rights, and ensure environmental responsibility.

Dr. Nadia Asheulova, Director, Institute for the History of Science and Technology, Russian Academy of Sciences joined by video conferencing and addressed the gathering.

At the conclusion of the inaugural session, Dr. Kasturi Mandal, CSIR-NISCPR extended the vote of thanks.

In the mid- session, ‘Al-Driven Pathways to Energy Security and Sustainable Development’ was discussed with eminent guests.
