India beat England by 100 runs to win the Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup 2026 for the record 6th time. Played at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbawe today, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi coveted with the player of the match for his magnificent match winning century.
India set a mammoth target of 412 runs against England in the Final. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored his big century with 175 runs. Captain Ayush Mhatre well-supported with back to back half centuries.
India won the toss and chose to bat. Right from ball one India attacked the English bowlers. In particular Sooryvanshi was very aggressive. He scored the record 175 runs from 80 balls with 15 fours and 15 sixes.
Sooryavanshi and Mhatre put brilliant 142 runs for the second wicket. And India grabbed 89 runs for the third wicket with Vedant Trivedi and the centurian.
For England James Minto was the successful bowler with the figure of 3-63.
England started badly as opener Joseph Moore cleaned bowled to a delivery of Fast bowler RS Ambrish. Middle order batsman Caleb Falconer got the century (115 0ff 66 balls) and Ben Dawkins made valuable contribution of 66 runs.
England tried their best to get in the match but lost wickets at regular intervals. The required run rate made them hard to follow the game and bowled out for 311 runs.
For India RS Ambrish captured 3 valuable wickets for 56 runs.
