The Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan todyay inaugurated the 39th edition of the Surajkund International Aatmanirbhar Crafts Mela–2026 at Surajkund, Faridabad, Haryana. The crafts fair is being held from 31 January to 15 February 2026 and showcases the finest traditions of handicrafts, handlooms, culture, and cuisine from across India as well as from other countries.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Union Minister of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar, Haryana Minister for Heritage and Tourism Arvind Kumar Sharma along with other dignitaries were present at the inauguration.
Speaking on the occasion, VP Radhakrishnan said that artisans are the custodians of India’s civilisational heritage, and that the Surajkund Mela reflects the nation’s cultural soul and Atmanirbhar spirit, embodying the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
