Court rejects bail pleas in Zubeen Garg death case

The regular hearing in the sudden death case of renowned artist Zubeen Garg was held today.

The sessions court rejected the bail applications of Amritprabha Mahanta and the two bodyguards of the artist — Nandeshwar Bora and Paresh Baishya.

Reacting to the court’s decision, the artist’s wife Garima Saikia Garg expressed satisfaction with the verdict. Speaking to the media, she said she hopes that the guilty will be punished.

The court has fixed February 13 as the next date of hearing, while February 16 has been marked for arguments related to the Mahavir Aqua and Siddharth’s flat. Siddhartha Sharma is the manager of the Zubeen Garg, who is also an accused in the death case.
