Top seed Aryna Sabalenka has reached the Australian Open 2026 semi-finals after a commanding win over 18-year-old Iva Jovic. The world number one defeated Jovic 6-3, 6-0 in a one-sided quarterfinal at sweltering Melbourne Park on Tuesday.

Sabalenka, champion in 2023 and 2024 and last year’s runner-up, will face either Coco Gauff or Elina Svitolina for a place in saturday’s final.

The world number one closed out the match in straight sets, staying on course for a third australian open title in four years. Her experience and powerful game proved too strong for the teenage American.
