Bharat’s deep-tech startups expanding with policy and funding support: Ashwini Vaishnaw

Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw said that Bharat’s deep-tech startup ecosystem is expanding, driven by focused policy and funding support. In a social media post, the Minister said that today, 80 per cent of India’s startups are AI-led.

He added that the Design Linked Incentive scheme under the India Semiconductor Mission has supported 23 startups so far.

The Minister also highlighted that for institutional funding, the one billion dollar India Deep Tech Alliance was announced at Semicon India 2025.

He noted that the Research, Development and Innovation Fund, with a corpus of 1 lakh crore rupees, is also strengthening innovation capabilities.
