Indian Coast Guard saves 14 lives at Beypore port region of Kerala

Indian Coast Guard today saved 14 lives at the Beypore port region of Kerala. After getting a received distress information regarding flooding onboard IFB St. Thisyos with 14 crew, approx 20 NM off Beypore. ICG Ship C-404 was immediately diverted for providing assistance.

On reaching the place of incident, de-flooding was undertaken using portable DD pumps. Post successful de-flooding, the vessel was safely towed by nearby fishing boats under ICG coordination and escorted to Beypore Harbour.

Timely response averted a major mishap, saving 14 precious lives.
