MEA issues travel advisory for citizens in Iran

Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has issued a travel advisory urging its citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Iran until further notice.

The advisory comes after recent developments, with authorities asking Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin currently in Iran to remain cautious and avoid areas of protests or demonstrations.

Residents have been advised to closely monitor updates from the Indian Embassy in Tehran and follow local news.

Indian citizens living in Iran on resident visas have also been asked to register with the embassy.
