Nagaland welcomes New Year 2026; Governor and CM wish

In Nagaland, today new year beeng celebrated in the whole state with open hearts and renewed hope.

Churches hosted special thanksgiving and prayer services, where people gathered for reflection, singing, and a shared sense of community. Meanwhile, homes and streets set up night-long vigils, bonfires, and fireworks. Across the state, celebrators exchanged warm greetings.

Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has extended New Year greetings to the people of the State.

Welcoming the New Year, Bhalla called upon citizens to reflect on their collective journey and renew their commitment to peace, unity and inclusive development.

He urged people to work together to strengthen social cohesion, uphold cultural heritage and contribute to the progress and prosperity of Nagaland.

Wishing peace, prosperity, good health and happiness for every household, Governor Bhalla expressed hope that the coming year 2026 would bring new opportunities and renewed optimism.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also extended his New Year greetings, wishing the people good health, peace, and renewed hope.

He expressed hope that the coming year would bring new possibilities, progress and meaningful achievements.

The Chief Minister encouraged everyone to live 2026 with purpose and blessings.
