PM Modi arrives in Ethiopia, Takes part in a traditional Coffee Ceremony with PM Abiy Ahmed Ali

Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Addis Ababa a short while ago tonight in Ethiopia after the completion of Jordan state visit.  He was honoured by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. It was a gesture of welcoming Modi at the airport.

Modi sharing on social media X stated: “Ethiopia is a nation with great history and vibrant culture. India and Ethiopia share deep civilisational ties. I look forward to engaging with the Ethiopian leadership to further strengthen our partnership in diverse areas.”

At Addis Ababa airport, Modi took part in a traditional Coffee Ceremony with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. The ceremony beautifully highlights Ethiopia’s rich heritage.

After welcoming PM Modi at Addis Ababa airport, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali drove him to the Science Museum in the city.

The Museum showcases different aspects of science and innovation and how they can be harnessed for Ethiopia’s progress.

Then PM Modi went to the Friendship Park and Friendship Square in Addis Ababa with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.

The Indian community showed remarkable warmth and affection welcoming Prime Minister Modi.
