Deaflympics: Abhinav Deshwal Wins 25m Pistol Gold

India’s Abhinav Deshwal won the gold medal in the 25m pistol men’s event at the Deaflympics in Tokyo on Sunday. He equalled both the world and Deaflympics records, maintaining his lead despite a poor final shot.

South Korea’s Lee claimed silver, while Fomin Serhii of Ukraine took bronze. Chetan Hanmant Sapkal finished fifth in the final.

Deshwal performed a terrific show of skill & composure as he dominates the Men’s 25m Pistol final with a score of 44/50, even after a last-shot malfunction.

Abhinav also equalled the World & Deaflympic Record with a stunning 575 in qualification.
