The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) set for a decisive victory in the Bihar state elections, with latest counting trends showing the coalition leading in over 200 of the 243 seats.
The NDA has surpassed its 2020 tally of 122 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan is leading in only 29 constituencies. Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party has not opened an account.
The BJP is leading in 100 seats, and its ally JDU is ahead in 80 constituencies, reflecting the NDA’s strong organisational presence and coordinated campaign strategy.
Adding to the NDA’s strength, Chirag Paswan’s LJP is leading in 21 seats, and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha is ahead in four.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed the resounding victory of the NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, calling it a triumph of good governance, development, public welfare, and social justice.
PM Modi also expressed his gratitude to the families of Bihar, whose support led the NDA to a historic and unprecedented victory in the assembly elections. He assured that this resounding public mandate will empower the government to serve the people and work with renewed resolve for Bihar.
The Prime Minister further thanked every NDA worker who worked tirelessly to secure this thumping win. He added that the government will ensure youth and women are given ample opportunities for a prosperous life.
