With the spirit of “Swaccha, Sundar & Samriddha Konkan,” NCC Directorate Maharashtra flagged off the Open Sea Sailing Expedition “Konkan Vijay 2026” undertaken by The Most Enterprising Naval Unit (MENU) of the Directorate. The expedition, over the next 10 days, 60 Naval NCC Cadets of Maharashtra Directorate will sail 127 nautical miles along the formidable & scenic Konkan coastline.
The expedition will make port calls at Ranpar, Ambolgad, Purnagad, Dhaulwali, and Vijaydurg. Supported by the Indian Navy’s Western Naval Command and the Indian Coast Guard, the voyage aims to foster seamanship, teamwork, adventure spirit, and coastal environmental awareness among young cadets.
The expedition was flagged off by Brigadier RK Paithankar, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Kolhapur.
He commended the cadets for their enthusiasm and dedication, highlighting that such expeditions not only build maritime skills but also instill discipline, resilience, and a deep sense of national pride.
