India Beats Australia by 48 Runs in 4th T20I; Leads Series 2-1

India defeated Australia by 48 runs in the fourth T20I at Gold Coast. India posted 167 for the loss of 8 wickets, with vice-captain Shubman Gill top-scoring with 46 runs.

Australia won the toss and invited India for batting. India started well, but lost the wicket of Abhishek Sharma (28) at 56 runs in 6.4 overs.

Handy contributions also came from Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, and captain Suryakumar Yadav. Aussie bowlers Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa taking three wickets each.

Chasing the target of 168, Australia staged a late mini-collapse finishing all out for 119 runs. At one stage the Australia were 67/1, but they could not able to capitalize the score. For India Washington Sundar got 3 wickets, Shivam Dube and Axar Patel got 2 wickets each.

For his all round performance Axar Patel declared as the player of the match.
