Karnataka Celebrates 70th State Formation Day, Kannada Rajyotsava

Karnataka is celebrating its 70th Kannada Rajyotsava today to commemorate the formation of the state in 1956. The day marks the unification of all Kannada-speaking regions into a single, unified state. The language, culture, and unity of Kannadigas are being celebrated across Karnataka.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will offer floral tributes to Goddess Bhuvaneshwari and address the gathering at the grand Rajyotsava Day celebrations in Bengaluru. He will also flag off a jatha and take part in the festivities.

In the evening, the Chief Minister will honour 70 eminent personalities who have made valuable contributions in fields such as Kannada literature, art, cinema, science and technology, and agriculture.

The Kannada Sahitya Parishat has announced attractive discounts on literary works by eminent Kannada authors published by it. Various organisations across the state have organised cultural events celebrating Kannada language, culture, history, and traditions.
