CISF inducted at the Navi Mumbai International Airport

Now CISF's presence is at 71 airports across the country

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been formally inducted at the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) today, October 29, 2025. This marks a significant expansion of CISF’s specialized aviation security presence to 71 airports across the country.
The induction will be implemented in phases, beginning with the deployment of 900 trained personnel under the leadership of Sunit Sharma, Sr. Commandant & Chief Aerodrome Security Officer (CASO), NMIA).

The Director General, CISF, Praveer Ranjan, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, along with Binita Thakur, ADG (Airport Sector).

Capt. B.V.J.K. Sharma, CEO, NMIA, symbolically handed over the airport keys to the CISF during the ceremony.
With this induction, CISF will ensure round-the-clock security of all airport zones, including terminal areas, airside, cargo, and city-side, as per the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines.
