UP Lights 26 Lakh Diyas, Sets Guinness World Record at Ayodhya

A Guinness World Record was created, in which 2,128 Vedacharyas performed Maha Aarti and recited shlokas on the banks of the Saryu River. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several ministers graced the event.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that these Diya’s are symbols of the victory of faith over 500 years of darkness. Along with the festival of lights in Ayodhya, more than 1 crore 51 lakh Diya’s are being lit across the state today.

The Laser & Drone Show was also organized in the evening. Around 1,100 ‘Swadeshi’ drones projected images of the Ramayana into the sky.
