The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Dr Harini Amarasuriya visited the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi to strengthen academic ties between India and Sri Lanka. During the visit, she engaged with students, faculty, and startup innovators on campus.

The discussions centered around enhancing research collaboration between IIT Delhi and leading Sri Lankan institutions. The visit emphasized joint innovation, academic exchange, and capacity building in science and technology.

As part of the initiative, IIT Delhi invited Sri Lankan students to pursue studies across undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs, reinforcing educational cooperation between the two countries.
