Breaking: India beat Bangladesh in Super Four of Asia Cup T20

India beat Bangladesh by 41 runs in the Super Four Stage of Asia Cup T20 tonight at Dubai International Stadium. Men in blue are inching towards playing for the Final.

Winning the toss Stand-in Bangladesh captain Jaker Ali chose to field first. India had great start with both the openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubham Gill attacked the Bangladeshi bowlers.

For the opening partnership Gill (29) and Abhishek Sharma (75) put valuable 77 runs before Gill got out to Rishad Hossain.

Player of the match and Top runs getter in the Tournament Abhishek Sharma did not stop their, his scoring rate continued. He hit six fours and five big sixes.

Hardik Pandya gave contribution of 38 runs. India got 168 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs.For Bangladesh Rishad Hossain got two wickets.

Chasing the target Bangladesh started their innings badly to loss the first wicket in the 2nd over of Jasprit Bumrah. Once the runs were difficult to score, spinners did the rest courtesy Kedar Yadav (3/18), Varun Chakaravarthy (2/29), Axar Patel (1/37), and Tilak Verma (1/1). Jasprit Bumrah got two wickets.

Bangladesh were all out for 127 runs. Except openin batsman Saif Hassan (67), nobody able to capitalize the momentum and Bangladesh lost the match by 41 runs.
