Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has said that technology has become India’s greatest equaliser, empowering everyone from street vendors to corporate executives. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned these technologies into the country’s greatest equaliser.
In an article in a National Daily, Vaishnaw said that initiatives like India Stack, UPI, JAM trinity and CoWIN, innovation and inclusion have transformed lives, improved governance and strengthened India’s role on the global stage.
The Minister highlighted that technology does not have any hierarchy. He added that this transformation reflects Prime Minister Modi’s core philosophy of antyodaya, reaching the last person in the queue.
Minister Vaishnaw said that every digital initiative aims to democratise technology for all. Mentioning the Space and Innovation sector, Vaishnaw said that India has achieved what seemed impossible. He added, Now, India has reached Mars on the first attempt.
He added that Chandrayaan-3 made India the fourth country to achieve a soft lunar landing and the first to land on the Moon’s South Pole. The Minister said, ISRO launched 104 satellites in a single mission, setting a world record, and Indian rockets now carry satellites for 34 countries.
Vaishnaw said the Gaganyaan mission will make India the fourth nation to send humans to space using indigenous technology. The Minister said that Prime Minister Modi stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the country’s scientists.
