Sikkim Landslide: Kills Four, Rescue Operation Ongoing

A landslide hit Upper Rimbik in West Sikkim’s Gyalshing district at last midnight, killing at least four people, including three from the same family.

One woman died during treatment, while another remains in critical condition.

Three people are still missing. Police, locals, and SSB teams building a temporary log bridge over the nearby flooded river to rescue survivors. Heavy rains are believed to have triggered the disaster.

Rescue operations are ongoing as officials search for the missing and assess the damage. A small injured girl was rescued from the debris.
