India beat South Korea 4-1 to win the Men’s Asia Cup Hockey for the fourth time. Playing at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir spirited men in blue showed the exception display of courage and dominance.
With this tournament win they automatically qualified for the World Cup Hockey 2026 which will be played in Belgium and Netherlands.
India converted one penalty corner out of two where as South Korea could able convert one out of 4.
For most of the time India got the ball possession. India played very very attacking in the final.
In the first quarter after just 30 seconds of play Sukhjeet scored a goal getting a pass from captain Harmanpreet.
Just before minutes left to finish the second quarter, getting a long pass from Sanjay Dilpreet scored magnificently through the Korean Goal Keeper’s leg to give a strong 2-0 lead.
Dilpreet had a good play to score the third Indian goal when he got a pass from Raj Kumar through Harmanpreet in the third quarter. India was unstoppable to add another goal in the final quarter when Amit Rohidas scored a penalty corner. India was leading 4-0.
The consolation goal came from Korea through Son Dain who scored courtesy penalty corner.
South Korea fought hard to hold the match but at the end India remained unbeaten in the tournament.
