Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to add fresh momentum to diverse areas of cooperation between the two nations.

On Saturday, PM Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba will ride a bullet train from Tokyo to Sendai and will visit a semiconductor manufacturing facility. Their destination will be a major semiconductor facility in Miyagi Prefecture.

Semiconductors are the essential building blocks of modern electronics, acting as the hidden brains that make devices work.

The India–Japan partnership has tremendous potential to offer the world reliable and credible alternatives in the global supply chains of critical technologies.
