Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday morning to take stock of the ongoing relief and rescue operations following the Dharali cloudburst disaster.
A day after the Dharali cloudburst, PM Modi inquired about the status of relief and rescue operations and assured all possible assistance from the central government.
The Chief Minister informed him about the ongoing relief and rescue efforts, the evacuation of people to safer locations from the incident site, and steps taken to ensure the availability of essential services and resources.
CM Dhami expressed gratitude to PM Modi for extending full support and ensuring assistance from the Centre.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dhami is visiting Uttarkashi to inspect the disaster-affected Dharali area.
Earlier, speaking to media persons, he informed that relief and rescue operations are being carried out on a war footing.
He added that all concerned departments are working with full vigilance and promptness to ensure swift and adequate assistance reaches those affected.
