Fourth Test Match: India’s draw is more than a win

India drew the 4th match against England of the Anderson-Tendulkar Test Series courtesy 5th wicket partnership of 223 runs by Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. Jadeja scored 107 runs where Sundar scored his first test century with 101 runs .

The draw test match is more than a win as India was in precarious situation with 5 sessions to battle.

India started their fourth innings badly with Chris Woakes took 2 wickets when India did not score any runs on the board. Then the partnership between KL Rahul (90) and Shubhman Gill (103) shown brilliant respite.

After Gill and K L Rahul gone, injury to Rishabh Pant, it seemed as if India will lose the match. But Jadeja and Sundar had shown great commitment and courage to save the test match.

The pitch was showing some uneven bounce and the pressure was there till the end, combining these situations both the batters shown great characters and saved the match.

For England Cris Woakes took 2 wickets, Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes got one wicket each.

For outstanding batting and bowling Ben Stokes declared as the man of the match. Stokes scored 141 runs and took 6 wickets in the match.

England leads the series 2-1 with final test to start from 31 July at Kensington Oval, London.
