Thousands of resident doctors in Britain, have begun a five-day strike from Friday, after talks between the British Medical Association (BMA) and the government failed to yield an agreement on pay restoration.
Resident doctors—those below the consultant level—say they had “no choice” but to strike again, citing continued pay erosion since 2008.
Reacting to the strike, Britain’s Health Minister Wes Streeting criticised the BMA, calling their action “reckless and unnecessary.”
