Ayush Ministry organizes global online yoga event today

As part of the celebrations leading up to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, the Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) and Habuild, organized a landmark global online yoga event today. The online yoga session held from 6:15 AM to 7:35 AM and witnessed participation from more than 130 countries.

Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav also participated in the initiative. Ayush Ministry said that the event was shown through YouTube Live Yoga Stream, bringing together yoga practitioners and wellness enthusiasts from around the world on a single digital platform.

Many yoga practitioners, educational institutions, wellness organizations, community groups, and members of the Indian diaspora worldwide also joined the event.

It is said that the initiative is designed to showcase the universal appeal of yoga and its growing acceptance as a powerful tool for promoting holistic health and well-being.
