4.6 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Doda, J&K; No Damage Reported

An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck Doda district in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir early Sunday morning, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

The quake occurred at around 4:32 AM at a shallow depth of 10 kilometres, with its epicentre located in Doda. Officials stated that such shallow earthquakes can result in stronger tremors near the surface.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, and authorities are monitoring the situation.
