Indian double olympic medalist PV Sindhu lost to World No. 2 Zhi Yi Wang in the 2nd round of Badminton Asia Championships 2026 at Ningbo, China today. The Chinese won in straight sets 21-18, 21-8.

In the first set Sidhu shown some fights, at one stage it looked like it can be anybody’s game. But Wang was strong enough to win it quiet easily, and proved it why she is No.2 in the world.

In the Mixed Double Indian pair of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto also lost to Malaysian pair Tang Jie Chen and Ee Wei Toh by 21-13. 21-14.
