Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi along with Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo today inaugurated 3 Grid Substations and 8 major transmission lines for Bhubaneswar.

Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha Aparajita Sarangi was also present on the occasion.

Majhi visited the Grid Substation at Balianta after the inauguration.

CM Majhi said, “Today marks a truly historic and auspicious day for Bhubaneswar, the capital city of our state, Odisha. It is a day for celebration. Within just one year, we have completed and inaugurated three new sub-stations today: one in Balikunta, another in Satyanagar (located within the city limits), and a third at the SCB Medical College and Hospital, a massive healthcare institution serving the entire eastern region of India.

“The combined expenditure for these three sub-stations exceeded Rs 600 crore, as allocated in our budget; having completed the work, we formally inaugurated them today. As of today, the double-line power connectivity has been fully established, ensuring that the city will face no power-related issues in the future”, he added.
