IMD Warns Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Across Several Indian States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall today at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh and Odisha.

The weather agency predicted thunderstorms accompanied with Hailstorm over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

IMD also predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya; Jammu and Kashmir; Ladakh; Madhya Pradesh; Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; Odisha; Punjab; Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Similar weather conditions are also likely to prevail today over Andhra Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Telangana.
