Indonesia paid tribute to three of its peacekeepers who were killed in southern Lebanon amid the ongoing West Asia conflict.

The bodies of the personnel were brought back home and honoured with a state ceremony attended by President Prabowo Subianto, senior military officials, and the families of the deceased.

The peacekeepers were part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). They lost their lives in two separate incidents as violence continues to escalate in the region.

Following the deaths, Indonesia has called on the United Nations to conduct a thorough investigation into the incidents.
