India’s indigenous fighter jet HAL Tejas Mark 1 aircraft is all set to resume operations within a week following technical clearance. Talking to the National Channel Doordarshan, D. K. Sunil, Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), discussed the company’s record revenues of ₹32,250 crore, upcoming engine deliveries from General Electric, and the timeline for the induction of HAL Tejas Mark 1.

He said, the slogan of Atmainrbharta by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is no more an option, but it is necessary today in the geopolitical situation.

The resumption of operations for the Tejas fleet marks a key step in strengthening India’s indigenous defence capabilities and further advancing the HAL programme.
